Bulbs for All Seasons

Need a quick and straightforward guide to flower bulbs, finding out what is available and when to plant?  This book list bulbs that bloom throughout the year in alphabetical order,  and then by season. While many of the spring blooming bulbs are pretty well known (not all, though), the summer, fall and winter bulbs listings might suggest new beautiful plants that you haven’t yet tried.

So after rushing through the late planting of spring bulbs, we can all sit back and take a little more time reading about planting options for winter, summer and fall.  There are quite a few bulbs that will add indoor color and fragrance to dreary and dark  winter days. Of course, if you live in a warmer climate, you can enjoy planting bulbs outdoors in winter, but for the rest of us forcing a pot of paper whites or hyacinths, or enjoying the amaryllis flowers will have to do.

Anyway, regardless of what your circumstances allow, the bulbs are listed with planting times, care instruction, planting depth, layering advice, watering, feeding, overwintering, propagating, and anything else that you might need to know.
